Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the MedNav app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
MedNav is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or prescription. All information presented in the App is for educational and organizational purposes only. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional before starting, stopping, or changing any medication, supplement, vitamin, or treatment plan. In a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately. Do not use the App in place of professional medical care.
1. Definitions
- “App” means MedNav, the software application made available by us through the Apple App Store.
- “Service” means the functionality of the App, including label scanning, item tracking, schedule generation, interaction checks, briefings, and the Ask MedNav feature.
- “Content” means any text, images, schedules, briefings, and other output the App provides.
- “You,” “Your” means the individual using the App.
- “We,” “Us,” “Our” means MedNav, operator of the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction. If you are a parent or guardian permitting a minor to use the App, you accept these Terms on their behalf and are responsible for their use.
3. No Medical Advice
The App and all Content are for informational and educational purposes only. The App does not:
- Replace a consultation with a licensed physician, pharmacist, or other healthcare professional
- Diagnose or treat any medical condition
- Prescribe or recommend any medication, supplement, dosage, or treatment
- Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of drug interaction information
You are solely responsible for decisions you make about your health, including decisions informed in any way by the App. We strongly advise you to verify any information provided by the App with a qualified healthcare professional before acting on it.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose and in compliance with applicable law. You will not:
- Use the App to harm yourself or others
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Use the App to transmit any malicious code or content
- Circumvent any technical protection measures (including subscription enforcement)
- Resell, redistribute, or commercialize access to the App or its Content
- Use the App to provide medical services to others, including as a healthcare professional advising patients
5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Auto-Renewal
Free Tier
The App is available in a free tier that allows you to track up to 2 items.
MedNav Pro
MedNav Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Available plans, prices, and features are displayed on the subscription screen at the time of purchase. Current offerings may include a weekly or monthly plan.
Payment
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
Auto-Renewal
Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
Managing Subscriptions
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. After cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription, except where required by law.
Free Trials
If offered, a free trial period converts into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Price Changes
We may change subscription prices. Price changes apply to subsequent billing periods. You will be notified before any change takes effect and may cancel before the new price applies.
Refunds
All payments are handled by Apple. Refund requests are subject to Apple’s refund policies. Contact Apple Support to request a refund.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including all software, design, branding, and original Content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. No rights are granted except as expressly set out in these Terms.
7. User-Submitted Content
When you submit photos or text (e.g. label scans, queries) to the App for processing, you grant us a limited license to process that content as needed to provide the Service. We do not store submitted content on our servers after returning a response. See our Privacy Policy for details.
8. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services, including OpenAI (for AI processing), RevenueCat (for subscription management), Vercel (for backend hosting), and the Apple App Store (for distribution and billing). Your use of the App is also subject to their respective terms and policies, which we do not control.
9. Disclaimers
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE APP IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, PERSONAL INJURY, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE) ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, OR ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY IT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $20.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of the above may not apply to you. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us and our officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from (a) your use of the App, (b) your breach of these Terms, (c) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (d) any decision you make about your health in connection with the App.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, the license granted to you ends. Sections 3, 6, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under the law of your country or region. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the App will be resolved in accordance with applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction; where such law permits, disputes will be resolved through informal negotiation first, then through binding arbitration or the courts of our principal place of business, at our election.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app. Your continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance.
15. Apple-Specific Terms (EULA for App Store Distribution)
The following applies only to the App when obtained through the Apple App Store. These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its Content.
- License Scope: The license granted is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms.
- Maintenance and Support: We, not Apple, are responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App.
- Warranty: If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple; Apple may refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.
- Product Claims: We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer-protection or similar law.
- Intellectual-Property Claims: In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your use of it infringes that party’s intellectual-property rights, we, not Apple, will be responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
- Legal Compliance: You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated a “terrorist-supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-Party Beneficiary: You acknowledge that Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
